Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko, has reacted to the viral video of Comfort Emmanson, an Ibom Air passenger who was forcibly removed from a flight with her chest fully exposed.
Naijaonpoint reports that the incident occurred on Sunday during an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos.
Emmanson allegedly ignored repeated crew instructions to switch off her phone before takeoff, leading another passenger to turn it off for her.
This reportedly triggered a heated verbal exchange.
Matters escalated after landing when Emmanson was said to have attacked the flight’s purser, pulling off her wig, throwing her glasses to the ground, and attempting to use a fire extinguisher as a weapon.
Security officers restrained her, and she was taken into custody and arraigned before being remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre. Ibom Air has since placed a lifetime ban on her.
Reacting, Simi called attention to the invasion of privacy caused by the uncensored video, which exposed Emmanson’s bare chest to millions online.
She asked why the individual who filmed and posted the footage had not been held accountable, stressing that such exposure should also attract punishment.
She wrote: “So let’s say the lady is actually mad and did too much… Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, Recorded her being exposed like that AND THEN POSTED IT without editing out this exposure or blurring it out. Lol.
“I personally wanna know who posted that video and why no one is holding him/her accountable. Because aunty will face the law, but voluntarily posting her half naked for millions of people to see when less than 10 people actually witnessed it in the first place deserves punishment too. Because you can’t condemn one madness and leave another one.”
