Ice Cube’s War of the Worlds movie was released this summer and was instantly branded one of the worst films of all time.
The movie was produced back in 2020, but due to the pandemic, it faced major challenges. The actor says that the movie was initially made by Universal before being sold to Amazon, leading to a five-year delay.
Ice Cube explains to Kai Cenat that his movie War of the Worlds was filmed in 2020 during the pandemic and was filmed in just 15 days. The film currently has an IMDb score of 2.5/10

“[‘War of the Worlds’] was a movie I did in 2020 during the pandemic,” Ice Cube told Kai Cenat during the streamer’s Mafiathon 3. “We shot it in 15 days, and it was during the pandemic. So the director wasn’t in there. None of the actors was in there. This was the only way we could really shoot the movie.”
The movie received 4% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, climbing up from 0%.
“All the footage is from real surveillance cameras all around the world,” he added. “So they had to build all that s–t [and then collect and edit the footage].”
