The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has said that he would not leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for some political cultists to take over the party.
Speaking during his monthly media chat on Monday, August 4, the minister vowed to remain in the PDP for the 2027 general election.
He also said that the major reason he would not leave the party is to prevent the political cultists – which he listed as Buccaneers and Vampires – from taking over the 2027 presidential ticket.
“I will not leave this party which I have done everything for, for the Buccaneers and Vampires.
“If I had left the party, the Buccaneers and Vampires would have taken over the party,” Wike said.
Wike also vowed to remain a key member of the PDP until the right actions are taken to ensure stability within the party.
His words, “Now what is the problem in PDP, if you are saying that you are an opposition party, are you not supposed to be the one to put yourself in order and fight the ruling party?
“What is happening in PDP today, have I not predicted it before now? I will not leave the PDP until the right thing is done,” the Minister added.
