It is a sad time for fans and lovers of gospel singer and evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu, better known as Omije Ojumi, as she passes away.

According to reports, the singer took ill around 2025, and all efforts to get her back on her feet were futile. Reports claim that the undisclosed ailment was linked to her leg.

The gospel singer was 46 years old before her untimely death.

The sad news of her death is coming just a day after Pastor Segun Arole asked after her on Instagram.

He said, “Where is Singer Omije Oju mi?. We heard that she was sick and we donated money. You can’t tell us to be praying without knowing her condition. What are the Yoruba Gospel artistes doing about this? People close to her should please update us about her situation. If she needs more money for medical treatment, let us know. This woman must not d!e”.

Many have taken to social media to mourn her.

The sad news is coming while Yoruba Nollywood is still dealing with the loss of Allwell Ademola. Kemi Filani reported on 27th that the actress had passed away after suffering a heart attack at her residence. The sad news was confirmed by colleagues of the deceased via their respective social media. The likes of Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, and Bidemi Kosoko were the first to mourn her.

She was finally laid to rest last week in the presence of her colleagues, family, friends, and loved ones.

Just a day back, BBNaija former housemate, Liquorose, was thrown into mourning as she lost a loved one. Though not revealing who, she shared a candlelight photo on her Instagram page, expressing heartbreak over the person’s death.
