A die-hard Galatasaray supporter has taken his admiration for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen beyond the borders of Istanbul, Soccernet.ng reports.
The fan turned up at the Super Eagles’ camp during AFCON 2025 to show support for Nigeria’s talismanic striker.
The passionate fan, identified as Hussein to Soccernet.ng, travelled from Europe to follow Osimhen’s journey at the tournament.
“Special Players Deserve Special Love” – Hussein
Speaking on the sidelines of the Super Eagles’ training session, Hussein struggled to put his admiration for Osimhen into words. He described the former Napoli striker as a rare figure in modern football.
According to him, Osimhen’s appeal goes beyond goals, pointing instead to his hunger and unique personality.
“He’s one of a kind. He’s unique, he’s humble, he’s perfect — that’s why we love him,” Hussein said.
He added that Osimhen filled a massive emotional gap for Galatasaray fans following Mauro Icardi’s injury.
Defenders Are Scared of Osimhen
Hussein stressed that Osimhen’s impact is instantly felt whenever he steps onto the pitch, whether in Italy, Turkey or on the AFCON stage with Nigeria.
He claimed that teams already feel under pressure simply knowing Osimhen is involved.
“If you have Osimhen, you’re already 1–0 up,” he said. “He pushes the team forward. He always wants more. He can score 10 goals and still want the 11th. There’s no stopping him.”

Hussein Meets Osimhen
The Galatasaray supporter revealed that he had already spotted Osimhen at the team hotel and was personally invited to attend the Super Eagles’ training session, hoping to meet the striker again and take photographs after training.

Hussein’s presence drew attention around the camp with his jersey.
Galatasaray Chants Echo in Eagles Camp
The moment reached a light-hearted climax when Hussein broke into a traditional Galatasaray chant, loudly declaring his love for Osimhen in front of Soccernet.ng’s camera. The chant was usually reserved for packed stadiums in Turkey.
Osimhen will be looking to return the support shown the fan with an impressive performance when Super Eagles face Uganda today.
