Actress Moyo Lawal has encouraged young entertainers not to shy away from controversies, emphasizing the importance of living life on their terms.
In a recent interview, she said, “I don’t know what you mean by controversy, but I advise them (young entertainers) to live their lives. If you make a mistake along the way, that’s fine; you can brush yourself off and get back up. It’s crucial to remember that you’re living life for yourself first and then for entertainment. At the end of the day, it’s just a job, even though it’s intertwined with our lives.”
Reflecting on her recent birthday celebration on January 1, she shared, “My birthday was quite unexpected, and most of the plans were made last minute. However, I loved every single moment, especially organizing a charity event that brought smiles to people’s faces on the first day of the year. I also enjoyed celebrating with my dad and stepmother. My friends came through for me, and it was heartwarming to know that there were people who could show up for me at the last minute. It was all about love.”
Lawal also mentioned that she is open to any kind of reaction from fans this year—except hate. “I am here to entertain, so fans can do whatever makes them happy. As long as I receive emotions from fans that aren’t hate, I’m good. You can’t follow someone you hate. I receive too much love to feel any negativity. I’m here to make fans happy, whether that’s by making them laugh, feel angry, giggle, or even irritate them,” she concluded.
