WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, during the flag-off of the construction of the Kugbo Bus Terminal in the FCT yesterday, advised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to pay no attention to the criticisms of FCT Senator Ireti Kingibe. This comes amid tensions between Wike and Kingibe following her comments on her feeling marginalized in the FCT’s affairs. “I saw one of the legislators on television talking about you (Wike ) and mentioning the fact that she was not carried along,” Akpabio said. Akpabio commended Wike for his infrastructure drive in the capital and encouraged him to disregard Kingibe’s complaints of being left out, emphasizing that as a member of the Senate, she is bound by its decisions. “Well, she is a member of the Senate. Once a decision is taken, she is bound by the decision. So, please ignore every distraction (from her) and rest assured that no matter what you do, not everyone will praise you. Others will still try to find faults. Some will say why roads alone? But look at where we are now.” Despite the tensions, Akpabio urged Wike to focus on his development projects and not be deterred by detractors.
