He warned that any form of human rights violations or misconduct within the force would not be tolerated and would attract severe consequences. Egbetokun made this known during a virtual meeting with police managers, where he addressed increasing complaints about rights violations. According to a statement by Force Spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi, the IGP stressed that all tactical squads must operate in approved uniforms and adhere strictly to standard operating procedures. He also cautioned against the misuse of power and improper dressing among officers, emphasizing the importance of professionalism. Additionally, he condemned the indiscriminate transfer of cases without his written approval, stating that such actions create unnecessary burdens and cause delays in the delivery of justice.
