Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi, has paid tribute to the late filmmaker, Kayode Peters on what would have been his 50th birthday.

Peters, a Nigerian film and stage producer, passed away in June in Canada.

Naijaonpoint reports that he was laid to rest on August 2 at Milton Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario after a funeral service at McKersie & Early House Funeral Home.

His death left many in the entertainment industry mourning the loss of a creative mind who had contributed to both stage and screen.

Marking his birthday, Remi shared a post on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the bond they shared while Peters was alive.

He also pledged his support to the filmmaker’s family, promising to always stand by them.

The actor spoke of how much he misses their conversations and revealed that he keeps memories of their time together close to his heart.

He wrote: “Happy heavenly 50th birthday, King KP. Will always be grateful for the time spent together. Our love and prayers with your family. We Dey here for Alexis and your babies. But Baba mii, I get plenty gist o… Lekki flood again..

“I don shoot 2 films, I Dey produce another…plenty gist about fatherhood…Anyways, keeping all the gist till we see later”.
