In a recent Facebook video, Dokubo asked, “Was Tompolo not a Muslim before?” emphasizing that religion should never be a tool to undermine leadership or service.

He highlighted that his Islamic faith guides his values but does not define or limit his advocacy for the Niger Delta people. Dokubo condemned attempts to politicize religion, calling such moves divisive and politically motivated efforts to weaken regional unity.

Referencing fellow Niger Delta leader Tompolo, he stressed that faith and public service can coexist harmoniously. Dokubo urged Nigerians to focus on integrity and action over religious labels, insisting unity across faiths is essential for Nigeria’s progress.
