I’m Excited But I Don’t Care – Omah Lay Reacts To Grammy Nomination

Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, known as Omah Lay, has reacted to his first Grammy nomination.

The music star was nominated alongside Davido for their song “With You” in the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th Grammy Awards.

In his Instagram post, Omah Lay expressed joy over the nomination but said awards are not his main concern.

He mentioned that while he is happy about the recognition, his biggest wish is for Davido to win because of the strong friendship and support he has received from him.

He wrote: “I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards. Yeah but I really want it for OBO! he is the realest friend I’ve had in while, he stood by during my hardest times,”

Davido, who has received four Grammy nominations in the past, is still hoping for his first win.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The ceremony will be aired globally on CBS and streamed live on Paramount Plus.
