“I’m humbled to think sharing my experiences and wisdom inspire others” – Funke Akindele overwhelmed as she pens heartfelt note

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has been left overwhelmed with the love she received following her bombshell revelation with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

Kemi Filani reported that the movie star was a guest at Chude’s just-concluded LiveWithChude talk show.

Sharing clips from the event, she revealed that she had a good time discussing it with him. The box office Queen said sharing her experiences and wisdom was a blessing, as she expressed how humbled she is to think she inspired others.

Expressing her gratitude, she added that sitting with the media personality to tell her stories is meant to inspire and spark a change.

While speaking during Chude’s Live talk show, she recalled how she was bullied and insulted on social media over the demise of her protege, Jumoke Aderounmu. The movie star revealed she was going through depression during the death of Jumoke, and the bullying from online trolls worsened her mental health.

Also, at the interview, Funke admitted that despite her public image of strength, she struggled with mental health due to social media bullying. The mother of twins revealed that the death of her mother, the backlash she faced for politics, and public mockery of her personal life, especially her failed marriage, took a mental toll on her and led her to seek therapy.

In the past few years, Funke has undeniably become a force to reckon with in the industry.

A few weeks back, Akindele had shared motivational words as she sent a message to young creatives. She admitted that her journey to success wasn’t always pretty, but it was worth it. Funke expressed how proud she was that she came from a place of hustle and hard work and advice to her junior colleagues.

While speaking at an event, Funke said nobody made her a star, only God. The movie star recalled how the idea of Jenifa’s brand came to her and how someone in the industry told her to keep milking Jenifa’s brand and gave her money to finance her projects.

Last year, Funke had opened up on the hard times she experienced before rising to stardom. She counted herself as a testimony of believing in herself, saying she faced different challenges but learned to stand tall and encourage others because of them.
