Nigerian singer, Ayodele Hanniel Solomon, popularly known as Reekado Banks, has opened up about his current relationship status.
Naijaonpoint reports that the 31-year-old singer revealed that he is no longer sure about marrying his partner, despite being confident just two months ago.
During an interview with podcaster, Esther Oye, Banks admitted that things have changed for him emotionally and mentally.
He shared that although he had previously declared plans to get married later this year, he can no longer make such a commitment at this time.
When asked directly if he still intends to marry his partner, the music star explained that his life has become quite hectic.
He added that the delay in making decisions about marriage is not because of his music career but rather due to personal struggles, especially with emotional maturity.
Reekado acknowledged that he is still working on himself and doesn’t want to blame external factors for the shift in his decision.
According to him, what he once felt sure about now feels uncertain, and he is no longer in the same mental space he was during his previous interview.
Although his partner is believed to still want marriage, Reekado stated honestly that he cannot say anything for sure at this point.
He described it as a learning experience, pointing out how quickly things can change even when one feels confident.
“I’m just in a place where, you know, we’re going through life. It’s a bit hectic in there right now. In the last interview, I was pretty sure about my stance, and I’m like, Oh, yeah, I’m getting married later in the year.
“But now, it’s different. I’m in a different place. And it’s only been two months since then. I can’t really say anything about it now. It’s an experience because I was sure then. I won’t blame it on the music. I blame it on myself. Myself and my emotional intelligence that I’m still working on“, he said in the video.
