Reality TV star and media personality Mercy Eke has revealed that she is open to embracing motherhood even without being married.
In a recent interview, Eke disclosed that she feels fully capable of raising children on her own and is prepared to have as many as three kids independently.
The former Big Brother Naija winner noted that marriage is not a pressing priority for her at the moment, adding that she has yet to meet a suitable partner. “If I get pregnant now, I’m just going to have my baby,” she said, expressing confidence in her ability to navigate motherhood without a spouse.
Eke further addressed societal attitudes towards single parenthood, pointing out that the stigma often associated with having children outside wedlock is largely directed at those facing financial challenges.
She maintained that her circumstances afford her the freedom to make such a decision without fear of judgment.
While she is open to becoming a single mother, Eke said she remains hopeful about finding the right partner when the time is right.
