WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Iman Shumpert has opened up about his contentious divorce from ex-wife Teyana Taylor, weeks after Teyana spilled her side of the story in a spicy social media rant. “We had great years, you know what I’m saying? Like, great years together. So, it’s like, I can’t let this now cause it to be negative stuff,” says Shumpert on Tap in With TT, later adding, “Something happened, they discussing it, but that happened a year ago. She also accused him of being under the influence of marijuana during his parenting time and of placing their children in unsafe situations, such as sending them alone in a rideshare to Chicago’s United Center while he used a private driver. Iman confessed that some of her court filings were “hurtful.” Iman seems to agree with his ex-wife’s stance that she wants to move forward in peace. “I don’t want no parts of this. Iman is my family. He is the father of my children, and that’s never going to change,” she said at the time. “I just want to move on with my life in peace. People love the idea of what we looked like together. It looked like a fairy tale, but I lived it. I carried a lot of weight in my marriage, and I was tired.” Teyana and Iman tied the knot in 2016 and were married for seven years, with their union ending in divorce in 2024. They had been together for a total of 10 years before separating.
