Imisi: Dede Reacts To Gov Oborevwori Aide’s Claim Of Being Robbed

BBNaija Dede

The first runner-up of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Ten Over Ten’ season, Dede Ashiogwu, has refuted claims that regional bias influenced the outcome of the reality show.

Naijaonpoint reports that the show’s finale took place on Sunday, with Imisi emerging as the winner, securing the grand prize of ₦150 million.

However, an aide to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, accused the organisers of BBNaija of rigging the show.

Ossai, in a post via 𝕏, claimed that Dede was robbed because the show organisers did not want another Delta State contestant to win after Kellyrae, who is also from Delta, won the previous season.

According to him, Dede deserved to be crowned the winner, not in second position, because she made the viewers proud.

Ossai further threatened legal action against the show organisers, adding that voting was rigged.

Responding at the prize presentation ceremony held on Tuesday at MultiChoice Nigeria’s office in Lagos, Dede dismissed the claim, insisting that Imisi’s victory was well deserved.

She said, “I don’t think it had anything to do with region. It’s about votes she got the highest votes, and she won. So, she deserves it.”

Dede added that she is focused on building a career in entertainment, particularly in acting and other aspects of the creative industry.

She said, “Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen—that’s what I’m bringing.”
