The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has offered a message of hope and assurance to the Christian community in Nigeria amidst ongoing security challenges, declaring that “the church will laugh last.”
Naijaonpoint reports that Pastor Adeboye made the declaration during his teaching titled “The Master Builder” at the RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service on Sunday.
The renowned cleric asked Nigerians to “put your mind at rest,” insisting that evil will not prevail against the body of Christ. His declaration is rooted in the biblical promise of God’s power to protect His work.
Adeboye emphasized that the current security realities in the country should serve as a powerful reminder that God has the power to build and protect His church.
He quoted the scripture, “He said, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail,” asserting that the church’s ultimate triumph is guaranteed because “it is God that is doing the building.”
The pastor added that beyond building the church corporately, God also operates as a master builder and architect who shapes individual lives, destinies, and futures.
Speaking further, he said, “We can pull down. When God opens a door, nobody can shut it.
“It’s when God shuts a door that nobody can open it. So, I have good news for you, my children, once again.
“Put your mind at rest. The gates of hell shall not prevail. Whether the devil likes it or not, the church is going to laugh last.”
Adeboye emphasised that beyond building the church, God also transforms individuals.
“Why? Because it is God that is doing the building.
“He said, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. But then God does much more than that. He builds people,” the GO said.
The cleric added that God is not only a master builder but also an architect who shapes lives, destinies, and futures.
