Nigerian comedian, Mr. Macaroni has criticized President Bola Tinubu-led government for failing to address the growing insecurity in the country.
Naijaonpoint reports that the activist spoke on his social media page while reacting to a series of violent incidents, including the kidnapping of school children and the killing of a military general.
Mr. Macaroni questioned why parts of Nigeria remain under the control of terrorist groups and expressed frustration over what he sees as the government’s inability to protect its citizens.
He also questioned the promises made by the president to tackle insecurity, saying that little progress seems to have been made since his administration began.
He wrote: “This is a very useless and irresponsible government feasting on the blood of innocent Nigerians! As in I don’t understand, school children have been kidnapped, a general killed, and everything is fine??? Why should any part of this country be occupied by terrorists? In any civilized country, Tinubu should resign!”
In a related development, tension has gripped Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State after bandits abducted Reverend Father Markus Samari from his residence in the Kuse-Gudu community.
One Emmanuel Yaro was reportedly shot dead during the attack.
According to Daily Trust, a resident, Salihu Mahmud, told journalists that the incident occurred on Sunday around 5:37 pm when the gunmen stormed the Reverend’s home shortly after he returned from church.
