Inter Milan have joined Juventus in the race to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta ahead of the summer transfer window, Footynaija.com reports.

The 26-year-old Super Eagles star has become one of Serie A’s most sought-after players following two impressive seasons in Bergamo, where he has consistently delivered goals and assists.

Juventus have identified Lookman as a key target as they look to bolster their attack for next season.

According to Spazio J, the Bianconeri see the reigning African Player of the Year as the ideal partner for Kolo Muani in their attacking rebuild under new boss Thiago Motta.

Lookman’s future at Atalanta has come under scrutiny following reports of tension between the player and manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

The forward was already considering a move away last summer, and with Atalanta valuing him at around €50 million, Juventus are exploring a player-plus-cash deal involving Argentine forward Nico González to lower the asking price.

However, Inter Milan are closely monitoring the situation and could make a move if Marcus Thuram leaves the club.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to reignite their interest after failing to sign Lookman last summer.

Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with the former Leicester City winger, adding further competition for his signature.

Lookman’s resurgence in Italy after difficult spells in England and Germany has made him a hot commodity, with several top European clubs vying for his services.
