According to a report by The Information, the iPhone 17 Slim will sit above the ‘Pro Max’ model in terms of pricing. This could be become the company’s new ultra premium device. One thing to note is that the ‘iPhone 17 Slim’ may not be its final name, but that’s what it’s being referred to at the moment.

It’s referred to as the iPhone 17 Slim as it will be even slimmer than the current offerings. That phone will also bring a design refresh, but truth be said, the entire iPhone 17 series may do that.

Based on a report from Jeff Pu, an analyst, the entire iPhone 17 series will have refreshed design with a smaller Dynamic Island. What about the iPhone 17 Slim, are there any additional details?

It will have a 6.6-inch or a 6.55-inch display

Well, yes. Earlier, when the phone was initially mentioned. The report stated that the device will include a 6.6-inch display. It will be larger than the iPhone 17, which is expected to include a 6.1-inch panel. The iPhone 17 Pro which is expected to have a 6.3-inch panel.

That device will, however, be smaller than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is tipped to have a 6.9-inch display. However, do note that a well-known display analyst. Ross Young, claims that a 6.55-inch display could be included. So that’s possibly the correct info.

The Information does say that the iPhone 17 Slim will have an aluminum frame, and a smaller cutout for the front-facing camera hardware.

It remains to be seen what will differentiate this iPhone from the rest, except possibly slimmer design. What will make it stand above the ‘Pro Max’ model, it will be interesting to see.
