A former counsel for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has cried out over persistent threats to his life and his family.
Naijaonpoint reports that Ejiofor, in a statement dated December 29, 2025, said it has become imperative to officially notify the public and the international community of a calculated campaign of intimidation and hostile conduct against him.
Ejiofor, a native of Oraifite in the Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, noted that his earlier outburst about threats to his life and family elicited calls, messages, and expressions of deep concern from well-meaning individuals across all strata of society.
According to the human rights lawyer, despite the public outcry, the threats have regrettably persisted and intensified, forcing him to place the factual and historical account before the world.
The statement read, “Recall that I raised a public alarm concerning manifest and credible threats to my life and the safety of my family. That alarm elicited calls, messages, and expressions of deep concern from well-meaning individuals across all strata of society.
“Regrettably, rather than abate, these threats have since persisted and intensified, compelling me to place this factual and historical account before the world.
“It is common knowledge that I am presently at my ancestral home in Oraifite, Anambra State, together with my family, for the Christmas and New Year festivities.”
