WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Chris Gotti, the brother of late Murder Inc. co-founder Irv Gotti, has spoken out about his brother’s recent passing. Irv’s death sent shockwaves throughout the music industry, and according to his brother, the music mogul was diagnosed with diabetes but did not take his diagnosis seriously. “He was diagnosed when he was in his 40s, but Irv doesn’t go to the doctor. That’s why he was late being diagnosed. When he finally did go get a real physical and a check-up, they’re like, ‘You’re diabetic,”” Chris said on 2Way Tonight.
Irv passed away on February 5, 2025. He added: “Irv did go on his terms. He just didn’t believe it, and basically, he ate a bunch of Chinese food while playing poker and had a massive hemorrhagic stroke, which is bleeding in the brain,” adding that “food” was to blame for his brother’s death. Chris says that he wished his brother had fought for his health, and the loss has made him appreciate his life much more.
