Sharren Haskel-Harpaz, Israel’s deputy foreign minister, has met with prominent Nigerian Christian leaders in Abuja to discuss bilateral and faith-based collaborations.
The meeting, hosted at the residence of Michael Freeman, Israel’s ambassador to Nigeria, was attended by Daniel Okoh, president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and other senior church leaders.
Poju Oyemade, senior pastor of Covenant Nation, attended on behalf of Wale Oke, president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Other prominent Christian leaders at the meeting were Dr Paul Enenche and his wife, Becky, presiding pastors at Dumamis International Gospel Centre and Bishop Faith Emmanuel Benson Idahosa II.
Haskel-Harpaz had earlier met with Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s minister of state for foreign affairs.
During the meeting, Haskel-Harpaz reiterated Israel’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relations and cooperation with Nigeria.
