Veteran actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, has admitted that the act of actresses offering sex for roles exists in the movie industry.
Naijaonpoint reports that the movie producer however said he has never been a victim of it due to his strict discipline.
Speaking in an interview, the 71-year-old film legend said he has never allowed any actress to come close with such offers because he sets clear boundaries.
He explained that his work ethic and values make it impossible for anyone to attempt such with him.
“I will not give you the chance to come near me. I’ve never seen anyone like that. But I know it happens in this generation”, he said.
Salami, who started acting at just 12 years old in 1964, pointed out that he is aware of the growing decline in discipline among today’s filmmakers and actors.
He said certain behaviours that are now common, such as lateness and flimsy excuses, were never tolerated during his early years in the industry.
He said: “The discipline in our days is quite different from this… Some excuses are not tenable in this profession.
“Even if you are playing the lead, I would say leave my set.
“I will not even leave the chance for you to come and meet me or talk to me about it, because I’m a disciplined director, I’m a disciplined producer, and I won’t do it.”
