Nollywood actress Faithia Williams, who took a break from social media following the death of her ex-husband, Saidi Balogun’s daughter, has returned to social media.

Kemi Filani reported last week that it was a black Sunday for Saidi Balogun as he lost his first daughter. Faithia took to Instagram to mourn her step daughter and took a break from the platform.

Taking to Instagram, she stated that this past week has been a time of reflection and prayer, as she described the deceased as a dear relative. She appreciated everyone who reached out, checked on her, and kept her in their prayers during the difficult period. She noted how their support has been a great source of strength and she is truly grateful.

Faithia prayed that as they step into a new week, peace, blessings, and new opportunities shall follow everyone.

Recall that Faithia and Saidi got married over 20 years ago at an Ikorodu registry and divorced four years later. Their divorce was quite messy, as Saidi told the court he could not live under the same roof with his her due to irreconcilable differences, and also demanded Faithia drops his name, Balogun.

The former couple have made peace, as on Faithia’s birthday in February, Saidi Balogun sent a sweet birthday note to her, showering her with love and prayers. Faithia had also done the same as she sweetly celebrated Saidi Balogun’s birthday.

In April, Faithia had caused a stir online as she referred to herself by her former married name, Faithia Balogun. The Yoruba actress shocked many when she addressed herself with her former marital title, Faithia Williams Balogun, as she apologised to her fans.
