‘It Is Dangerous To Entrust Nigeria Into His Care’ – Abure’s Loyalist Blame Peter Obi For LP Crisis

PETER OBI

Factional Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Edo State, Elizabeth Ativie, has suggested that it will be dangerous to entrust Nigeria into the care of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Naijaonpoint reports that Ativie made the claim in condemnation of the attack on the LP’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, by Peter Obi’s staunch supporter, Precious Oruche, better known as Mama P.

Ativie, the loyalist of Abure, accused Peter Obi of being the party’s problem.

According to him, the illegal expanded stakeholders meeting in Umuahia, Abia State, in September 2024, which Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti called, is responsible for the problem in the party.

He said, “We want to state clearly that the problem in the Labour Party was created by Obi. It was him and Dr. Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State that convened the ill-fated and illegally expanded stakeholders meeting in Umuahia, on September 4, 2024 for the sole purpose of removing a legally constituted National Working Committee of the party through underhand means.

“Peter Obi cannot be a good leader as he lacks the competence, character and capacity to actualise the vision of a new Nigeria.

“A leader who cannot advise or guide his followers properly, can hardly be a good leader. It is even more dangerous to entrust the whole Nigeria into such one’s care.”
