Reality TV star cum social media influencer, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has opened up about plans to venture into politics.
Naijaonpoint reports that Tacha, in a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, stated that her persistent worries about the nation’s direction have led her to consider a direct role in decision-making.
The reality star emphasised the impact of politics on everyday life, noting that a single government policy can make or break citizens.
According to the BBNaija star, it is better to get involved rather than complain about political issues.
Tacha added that she intends to continue leveraging her influence as a public figure to advocate for good governance and accountability.
She said, “I feel like if you keep complaining about something, it only makes sense to get involved and maybe make certain decisions that’ll make things easier for people.
“People always say after God, it’s politics and truly, one policy from the government can make or break you. At the end of the day, it makes sense to get involved.
“Politics is something I’m passionate about, but like I said, I’m not the one making the decisions. However, I’ll just keep using my platform to push for good governance and hold our leaders accountable.”
The reality star recently attempted to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most makeovers by a single artist in 24 hours.
On October 11, she completed 150 makeovers in 24 hours.
The achievement is now pending official verification and confirmation by Guinness World Records (GWR).
