“It was designed to shock. Everything I do is to disrupt” – Jim Iyke continues to address his bizarre birthday post to colleague, Kate Henshaw

It was designed to shock everything I do is to disrupt Jim Iyke speaks on his birthday post for Kate

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke is still speaking on the backlash he received over his birthday post to colleague Kate Henshaw.

In an interview on Pulse TV, he said that his post was designed to shock, as everything he does is to disrupt. He noted how 80% of internet users understood his message.

Jim explained that ... was just a communication between two people who have known each other for decades and have become accustomed to each other. He said there was no sensitivity, disrespect, or dishonour toward her.

The controversial actor described Kate as his sister and questioned how many people have two decades of relationships with people who aren’t related to them. Jim went on to say that this generation is too sensitive.

“It was designed to shock. Everything I do is to disrupt. But again, look at it, 80% of the people today get it. It’s a communication between two people who have known each other for decades and who have something legal that is accustomed to just the two of them. There is no sensitivity, disrespect, and there is nothing I can do to dishonour her.

Kate is my sister. How many people can say they have two decades of relationship with someone that isn’t biologically with them.

When people misconstrued it, this generation is just too sensitive”.

Kemi Filani reported in July that Jim, in a birthday post, had slammed Kate for treating him like a baby brother when she knew he wanted to hit. He noted how she knew he had an imagination far from friendly and wanted to experiment with his seed. Iyke stated that Kate stopped looking out for him, took everything he did literally, and ran off and married a white man.

His junior colleague, Gideon Okeke, reacting to ..., slammed him for his narcīssistic effrontery. Calling him a motherfukka and bone head, he questioned who puts such people in check. He noted that people who condone such rubbish behavior are what give other people the balls to be the actual pricks that they are.

In an interview, Jim clarified his post and said he meant every word he wrote and wasn’t trying to impress anyone. He explained that the message was simply him expressing a deep, long-standing friendship with someone he has known for over two decades. He further said that Kate is one of the few people he can speak to without fear of judgment and emphasised that there’s nothing sexual about it.
