While you can buy a new body you cant buy a new brain Mary Njoku tells BBL ladies Kemi Filani blog m

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Njoku has reflected on the past year as she embraces the New Year.

On her Instagram page, she revealed that 2025 was one of the hardest years of her personal life and the most difficult years of her adulthood. She said there were moments she genuinely didn’t think she would make it through.

Mary noted how life takes one through seasons where they feel like they’re walking through a tunnel with no visible end, no light in sight, and yet, they keep moving.

The wife of Jason Njoku said she walked through every dark time this year and came out stronger. She admitted that the process was painful, but it shaped her.

The mother of three said she is entering 2026 a renewed person and expressed gratitude to her Maker for seeing her through 2025.

“2025 was one of the hardest years of my personal life. One of the most difficult years of my adulthood. There were moments I genuinely didn’t think I would make it through. Life takes you through seasons where you feel like you’re walking through a tunnel with no visible end, no light in sight. And yet, you keep moving.

I walked through very dark times this year, and I came out stronger. Like gold refined by fire, the process was painful, but it shaped me. As I leave 2025 behind, I choose gratitude. For every lesson, every trial, every burden that has now been lifted. I let go. I shed the weight. I step forward unburdened.

As I enter 2026, I do so as a renewed person.

God, thank You for seeing me through 2025. And to everyone who reached out to me this year, whether online or offline, through calls, messages, or comments, may God meet you at your point of need. Your kindness mattered more than you know.

God bless you, and welcome to 2026″.

In 2025, Njoku started the year with a testimony after escaping death. She revealed via her Instagram page that a few hours into 2024, she almost didn’t make it because she was involved in a major accident, which left her marveled.

Some months ago, the ROK studios founder revealed that she was at a point in her life where she genuinely didn’t know what to do. She said she felt like she was standing at a crossroads, uncertain and stuck. The mother of three further said that the people she thought she knew, she has come to realise that she doesn’t know, and that has left her shaken.

In other news, Mary had advocated for furthering one’s knowledge, stating that we are never too wise to learn, as no one knows it all. She further stated that there is more to see, understand, and become, as the world is vast. She admonished the public not to let their success become a ceiling but a stepping stone.

The wife of the Iroko TV boss had raised a rhetorical question to the public. She questioned why we are alive, why we are still breathing, and what our purpose is on earth. She urged those religious fanatics not to use Christianity as an excuse, as she noted how many who were more religious are dead.
