Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji is gearing up again for another blockbuster movie with his wife, Mo Bimpe as he teased a new project with Ekiti State government.

Taking to his Instagram page and Twitter page, he revealed that he and his wife had the privilege of spending quality time with the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji. He praised the state for enhancing arts, culture, and creative economy and noted how his wife is a daughter of the soil.

Speaking about their meeting, Lateef revealed that the meeting focuses on collaborative efforts with the State government in its culture and creative economy endeavors. He expressed overjoyed he and Mo Bimpe are to be a huge part of the revolution.

Lateef went on to thank the Governor and his cabinet for the meeting as he promised to keep telling our stories and promoting our culture.

“We had the privilege of spending quality time with his excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the executive Governor of Ekiti State; it was a great feeling for us because my beautiful wife is a daughter of the soil.

Ekiti state is ENHANCING ARTS, CULTURE, AND CREATIVE ECONOMY. Present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff, Mr Niyi Adebayo; the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Prof Rasak Ojo Bakare; and other top officials.

This meeting focused on collaborative efforts with the state government in its arts, culture, and creative economy endeavors, and it’s a thing of joy that my wife and I will be a huge part of this revolution.

Special thanks to his excellency for meeting with us alongside members of his cabinet who were present too. Our culture and history must not be forgotten, our history is about to be revisited. We will continue to tell our stories and keep promoting our culture”.

Kemi Filani reported hours ago that Lateef and Mo Bimpe had gotten the support of the Ekiti State Government to produce a movie on the Ekiti Parapo War. The film will capture the struggle and triumph of the Ekiti people against oppression, telling the story of the war in detail and with a world-class production.

This was disclosed by Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on Tuesday. According to Oyebode, Oyebanji approved the production of the film at a meeting in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.

The film will be produced based on a collaboration between the State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy and AL Notions Film Company owned by the Nollywood couple. Oyebode said the project will be fully funded by the private sector and will be led by AL Notions Film Company, the producers of Lisabi: The Uprising.
