IVD not HIV positive – Blessing CEO
Controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has confirmed that she is dating Lagos celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD.
Blessing CEO describes IVD as a gentleman who does not engage in domestic violence, contrary to media reports. During a Facebook Live session with Daddy Freeze on Saturday morning, she also denied claims that IVD is HIV positive.
According to Blessing CEO, “IVD is my ‘booboo.’ I have always called him my ‘booboo’ and my ‘G.’ I have known him for three years, and he is completely different from what the media portrays. He is one of the sweetest people I have ever known. Let me share this— we have never experienced violence because I see the sweetest side of him. I was his therapist before becoming his partner, so I understood his emotions and weaknesses before the romantic feelings developed.
“IVD is one of the calmest people I have ever met. He doesn’t talk much, which is what swept me off my feet. People thought I didn’t have relationships, but I have dated a few guys. I think he’s an alpha male—someone who can tell me to sit, and I will. I don’t know how he does it so effortlessly. There was a day I was shaking my butt on social media, and he called me and said, ‘Booboo, I don’t want you to do that again.’ Normally, I would rebel, but with him, I don’t. My friends say he’s using jazz (magical influence).
“The intimacy we share is not just good—it’s perfect. My booboo is not HIV positive. On the very first day we met, he held my hand, and we went to Evercare Hospital. He took me to four different hospitals for HIV testing. He is not HIV positive.”
“When women are upset, we can say anything. The claim about his HIV status was made out of anger. In moments of anger, we sometimes say things to provoke a man. He is not HIV positive. Ever since I met IVD, he rarely falls ill. He is AA (genotype). With IVD, I’m excited about having children.”
In 2023, Blessing was remanded by the Lagos State Federal High Court over her involvement in the case of IVD and his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, who died from injuries sustained in a fire incident at their home, allegedly caused by domestic violence.
In defence of IVD in connection with his wife’s death, Blessing, who claimed to be his official relationship therapist, alleged that the late Bimbo was violent and suicidal.
Before her imprisonment, Blessing was rumoured to be in a relationship with IVD, although she had previously denied any involvement with him.
