Ja Rule says his long-time friend Fat Joe is keeping it together after he was sued by a former business associate last week, accusing him of several crimes, including having sex with minors.
“He’s good, I actually spoke to Crack yesterday,” Ja told TMZ. “I was asking him if he’s still not available for tonight. ‘Cause he had a show. But yeah, he’s good. He’s in good spirits. It’s fine.”
Fat Joe is being sued for $20 million by his former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, who claims the rapper exploited and abused him for over 16 years.
In a federal lawsuit filed this week, Dixon accuses Joe of labor exploitation, financial fraud, and sexual coercion. He says he contributed vocals and lyrics to tracks like “Congratulations” and “Ice Cream” but was never credited.
The suit also alleges Dixon was forced into over 4,000 coerced sex acts, often under surveillance, and threatened with abandonment if he refused. Dixon is represented by attorney Tyrone Blackburn, who’s also behind a major case against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Dixon claims his creative work helped build Fat Joe’s brand while he was silenced and erased.
