JAMB Postponed Exam Fixed New Date 2025 UTME Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration. Initially set to begin on January 31, 2025, the process will now start on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Why did JAMB 2025 UTME Registration?

JAMB explained that the adjustment is necessary to implement some necessary updates to the registration process. These updates were influenced by two major factors:

• Changes in Law Programmes: The Council for Legal Education recently suspended certain law programmes at select universities. JAMB is updating its registration system to reflect these changes.
• CBT Centre Scrutiny: Some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres were found to have gained accreditation using fraudulent means. To ensure fairness and transparency, JAMB is reviewing these centres and revoking approvals where necessary.

JAMB understands that the rescheduling may be inconvenient for candidates and other stakeholders. However, the additional time will help create a seamless and error-free registration process.
