Jeremy Renner Accused Of Threatening & Sexually Harassing Former Girlfriend & Collaborator

Hollywood star Jeremy Renner has been accused of harassment of a former girlfriend.

Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou, through the Daily Mail, has spoken out about her past relationship with Renner, as the actor allegedly put her through threats and sexual harassment, both during their private and professional relationship. The filmmaker has been sharing a chain of these posts in the last few days, detailing her claims against the Marvel star.

Zhou put out a recent statement on her official Instagram account, which has an image of “cheating” in repeat, which can be found below:

As reported by the Daily Mail, Zhou referenced how the Marvel Cinematic Universe alum had allegedly​​​​​ gotten drunk during a meeting about their documentary at his home, leading to him yelling at her for two hours. The site shared an image of the text, where Zhou is speaking to a friend about Renner’s alleged violent behavior. In fear of being harmed, she detailed how she locked herself in the bathroom for protection.

Zhou stated, “I was discussing about the doc logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry yelling for two hours. I had to location share to my team, my parents and Disney colleagues in case something happens to me they know where I am. I had to lock myself in a room to be safe praying he would not come into the room at night as he was really angry. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life.”

The report also includes screenshots of the text messages she had sent, as well as a photo she had taken the day of the alleged incident. Zhou also opened up about how she had confronted Renner when he had sent explicit photos, which led to him threatening her to call ICE on the filmmaker. She said the following in one of her posts:

“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me.”

Daily Mail reports that Zhou “refused to provide” the rest of Renner’s alleged text message. The outlet has reached out to Renner for comments, but neither the actor nor his representatives have responded at the time of this story’s publication.

In a separate report from the Daily Beast, the couple began a romantic relationship earlier this year. Renner had allegedly introduced himself through direct messages and WhatsApp, with the “unwanted” images back in June 2025.

Renner’s ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, previously accused him of abusive behavior, which came to light during the custody battle of their daughter, who was 6 years old at the time in 2019. The 54-year-old star denied the allegations.
