Jesse Williams Grills His Ex-Wife In Court About Her New Man

Jesse Williams Wants Answers About His Ex’s New Man — and Who’s Picking Up Their Kids

Things are getting a little tense (again) between Jesse Williams and his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee, and this time it’s not about child support or custody schedules — it’s about her new boyfriend.

According to exclusive court details obtained by Media Take Out, the Grey’s Anatomy star is raising eyebrows over how and when Aryn allegedly introduced their children to her new partner — and whether he’s been authorized to pick them up from school.

Let’s just say the co-parenting vibe isn’t exactly seamless right now.

The Six-Month Rule Drama

Here’s where it gets sticky: The court order in place between Jesse and Aryn reportedly says that neither parent can introduce a new romantic partner to the kids unless they’ve been dating for at least six months. Aryn, Jesse’s legal team claims, may have skipped that step.

“We don’t know when [Aryn] introduced the children,” Jesse’s lawyer told the judge, pointing out that when Jesse asked Aryn for a simple timeline — like how long she’d been seeing the guy — he got crickets.

“It’s Not About Her Personal Life”

To his credit, Jesse told the court that he’s not trying to stir up drama for the sake of it.

“Can I just say, the issue is not for me. It’s not anybody’s personal life. Her personal life is her own. The first thing I said was ‘Congratulations. It’s terrific,’” Jesse said.

But his concern isn’t so much about Aryn dating — it’s about who’s now around their kids and whether both parents are following the same transparency rules.

“She insisted we put in the order originally — it’s in our order today to my knowledge – that if you’re going to put somebody on a pickup list for their regular life, school, et cetera, give the other party their contact information.”

And Jesse says he plays by that rule himself. Whenever there’s a new nanny or a new girlfriend in his world, he says he gives Aryn a full dossier: driver’s license photo, passport, phone number — the works.

“Just so that you know who is driving our children around in a major city,” he explained.

Pickup List Confusion?

The latest trigger seems to be a message Aryn allegedly sent Jesse, saying her new man was now on the kids’ school pickup list. Jesse responded by asking for the guy’s info and offered to share his own contact details in return — a fair co-parenting move, right?

But according to Jesse, Aryn just flat-out said: “No.”

Cue the courtroom confusion.

Aryn, for her part, told the judge that Jesse has it all wrong.

“Nobody was ever added to any pickup list of any kind,” she said.

So now we’re in a bit of a he-said, she-said standoff — over a guy who may or may not be picking up the kids, who may or may not have been dating Aryn long enough to meet them in the first place.

The Bigger Picture

Co-parenting can be tricky, especially when new relationships enter the picture. And while Jesse says he’s not trying to micromanage his ex’s dating life, it’s clear that clear communication and mutual respect — the holy grail of post-divorce parenting — might still be a work in progress here.

Stay tuned. With two passionate parents and legal paperwork involved, this could be just the latest chapter in a story that’s far from over.
