R&B singer Jhené Aiko took to her social media to reveal to her fans that her home had been burned to the ground by the tragic Los Angeles wildfires.
“Me and my children’s home is gone [heartbreak emoji] burned to the ground with all of our things inside. Lord have mercy [prayer emoji] thankful we still have each other [heart emoji] Starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy [heartbreak emoji],” he posted in a message to her fans, “let suffering be a gift; a lesson in compassion.”
Jhene Aiko is the mother of two children: her adorable 2-year-old son Noah Hasani, whom she shares with rapper Big Sean, and her 16-year-old mini-me, Namiko Love.
The ShadeRoom shared the news but instead of sympathizing with the singer, fans blasted her, claiming she’s rich enough to quickly buy a brand new home.
“The fact some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild,” she clapped back. “I don’t got it like that, but I do have a big, loving family that is worth more than anything. [heart emoji] When I was in the second grade, our home burned down with everything in it. I never understood why some of the kids at school were so mean about it, because they thought we were rich when we weren’t. But they thought we were rich because we had love!”
The family is caught up in the chaos of those raging L.A. wildfires, which have forced over 80,000 people, including Hollywood stars like Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Paris Hilton, and Kid Cudi Anna Faris, to evacuate.
