PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has expressed his sorrow over the tragic flood in Jigawa State, promising the state’s government his administration’s full support.

The disaster claimed the lives of more than 16 people and left over 3,000 displaced across 14 local government areas.

In a statement released today his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President extended his condolences to the state government and those affected by the widespread displacement.

“The President also sympathizes with the grieving families and the victims of the flooding, which has affected around 14 local government areas and numerous households,” the statement said.

President Tinubu emphasized that the recurring environmental disasters highlight the critical need to continue efforts to combat climate change and eliminate human-made factors contributing to the crisis.

He prayed for the souls of the deceased and reassured the people of Jigawa that his administration stands with them during this challenging time.
