Joe Budden is facing backlash from his fans after opening up about his own experience with a weight loss drug on his podcast.
On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden casually revealed that he tried Ozempic or a similar medication.
“I took a little ‘Zemp,’” he said. Budden shared that his mother quickly stepped in after hearing the episode. “She said, ‘I heard that you had that s–t sitting on the dresser. It’s supposed to be in the fridge. It might be bad,’” he recalled.
Budden went on to describe his initial reaction to the medication, calling it intimidating.
“It looked like a contraption in the box. Something that’s supposed to be at Iron Man’s house or something,” he said, before acknowledging its effects. “That little bulls–t is potent and it works. I ain’t ate since. I tried to eat last night.”
Fans blasted Budden, who previously knocked former podcast cohost Melyssa Ford, who used the weight loss drug while suffering from perimenopausal symptoms. Budden is also known for fat-shaming some of his current cohosts, and fans are disappointed he didn’t just get in the gym.
