WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Joe Budden went off on rapper/singer Tommy Richman after he dropped a preview of his new song…and the track is very much a hip-hop track even though he claimed he wasn’t a hip-hop artist to qualify for the pop category. “Don’t try to sneak back in yet. We not done being mad at you. If Daniel Caesar still sitting down somewhere, n—a you sit down too. And Daniel Caesar got more talent in his pinky than Tommy f-cking Richman. I don’t even like that name no more,” he said on the Joe Budden Podcast.
Budden says that he thinks Richman should retire but added that he probably can’t because “some hedge fund n—a done signed him and keeps dumping money into him so we gotta keep hearing the horrible version of the sh-t that worked for you because you can’t come up with a new slap that don’t sound like the old slap.” Richman was embraced by the hip-hop culture after dropping his “Million Dollar Baby” song, but after Richman turned his back on the genre and even left the hit song off his album, the album proved to be a massive flop, selling a reported 4,300 copies in it’s first week.
