Joe Budden is drawing a firm line after Nicki Minaj’s recent appearance at a Turning Point USA event.
On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the rapper-turned-media personality said Minaj’s appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest fundamentally altered how he views her.
Budden told listeners that seeing Minaj speak onstage at the event made him rethink her place in the culture.
“I’m done,” Budden told his cohosts. “That was it. Sorry, I’m gone. Don’t call me, don’t text me. It is what it is.”
He continued, “Sometimes how y’all move around out there does have an effect on how I view you and this was one of them things.”

Budden also expressed confusion over what he saw as contradictions between Minaj’s past audience and the ideology promoted at the conference.
“They’re so anti transgender,” he said. “I’ve been to the Nicki concert. I’m confused.”
Co-hosts Richard “Parks” Vallely and Marc Lamont Hill also weighed in, with Parks noting, “I watched the whole thing, hoping there was a reason, but she was just echoing what you’d expect.”
Minaj has not publicly responded.
