Joycelyn Savage, one of the two women who sat down for an interview with CBS This Morning back in 2019 to defend R. Kelly, has posted a video online confirming that she is still engaged to the singer and that she is not his “sex slave.”
In the video, Joycelyn states that she has been with Kelly for a decade and that he has been behind bars for six years. Of those six years, Joycelyn says she has seen him every weekend and that she was the one who proposed to the Chicago singer.
Joycelyn says the proposal took place three years ago and that she’s excited to start a family with the disgraced artist.
Joycelyn’s video comes after her parents claimed that their daughter was still being held captive by Kelly. Joycelyn denies their allegations and urged her supporters not to listen to her parents’ “lies.”
“I am not a sex slave. I am not brainwashed or any of those other lies that were told on me,” she says.
R. Kelly is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for racketeering predicated on criminal conduct, including sexual exploitation of children, forced labor, and Mann Act violations involving the coercion and transportation of women and girls in interstate commerce to engage in illegal sexual activity.
