In a moving video shared on her Instagram page, the proud mother captured moments from her son’s graduation ceremony, using the milestone to reflect on God’s enduring faithfulness since the untimely passing of her husband in April 2024.
Her message resonated with faith, pain, strength, and gratitude. She wrote:

In her tribute, she acknowledged the bittersweet nature of the occasion — a proud moment that her late husband had looked forward to, now coloured by his absence.

But we carry your love daily in our hearts, and your teachings and memories will forever linger. Keep resting in God’s bosom, Jnr Pope Odonwodo… Keep watching over us… We love you always!!!”

Late Junior Pope, a beloved Nollywood actor known for his charismatic presence on screen and devotion to his family, died in a tragic boat accident earlier in 2024 while on set. His sudden passing sent shockwaves across the Nigerian entertainment industry, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and fans alike.
While mourning, his widow has continued to publicly honour his memory and share glimpses of their journey without him — a testament to resilience, faith, and the quiet strength of a grieving wife and mother determined to carry on.
Her latest post is not just a celebration of her son’s academic milestone, but also a powerful reminder of the enduring love of a father who may be physically absent but remains deeply present in spirit.
