A lecturer at the Bingham University, Abuja, Professor Musa Dankyau has been abducted by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
Dankyau was said to have been abducted from his residence in Jos South Local Government Area by the suspected gunmen.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-terrorism expert in a post on X said Dankyau was abducted on Monday at about 9.30 pm.
According to Makama, the university don was kidnapped when some men who were heavily armed invaded his estate SA Estate along Guratopp Road in Jos South.
Makama said the gunmen went away with the university lecturer to an unknown location.
He analyst also stated that the security agencies and their operatives in Plateau State have launched a rescue mission for the victim.
He also noted that efforts are being made by the security operatives and agencies to ensure the arrest of the abductors of the university don.
He wrote on X, “Gunmen have abducted Prof. Musa Dankyau, a lecturer at Bingham University, Abuja, from his residence in Jos South Local Government Area.
“A coordinated effort is ongoing to rescue the victim and apprehend the perpetrators,” Makama stated.
