The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the party’s National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, of lying.
Anyanwu had, on Saturday, petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Inspector-General of Police, accusing the PDP of forging his signature on the party’s official communication to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The alleged forgery referred to a letter jointly signed by Anyanwu and the PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, informing INEC of the November 15-16 date for the PDP National Convention.
But at a media briefing in Abuja on Monday, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, debunked Anyanwu’s claims, accusing him of deliberately misleading the security agencies with false information.
