Anthony Joshua, former heavyweight champion, secured a sixth-round knockout victory over Jake Paul, YouTuber-turned-boxer, in a heavyweight fight held in Miami on Saturday.

Jake Paul exceeded early expectations by surviving the opening rounds, but Anthony Joshua’s experience and punching power ultimately shaped the outcome, according to a ringside assessment by The Athletic.

The British fighter sent Paul to the canvas twice in a frenetic fifth round, leaving the American visibly weakened.

Joshua ended the contest in the sixth round after unleashing a prolonged barrage of heavy punches that forced the referee to intervene.

After the bout, Joshua shifted his focus to Tyson Fury, his longtime rival, and issued a direct challenge.

“Put down (your) Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come and fight me,” he said.

Jake Paul later disclosed that he suffered a broken jaw during the fight.

The boxer declined to name a potential next opponent and announced plans to step away from boxing following the loss.

The defeat represents the second loss of Paul’s professional boxing career.

Paul, currently ranked No. 14 in the cruiserweight division by the WBA, has recorded consecutive victories over former world champions.

He defeated Mike Tyson, aged 58, in November 2024 during Netflix’s boxing debut and later outpointed Julio Cesar Chávez Jr., aged 39, in June.
