The bodies of eight policemen earlier declared missing following a deadly attack on security operatives at Agu Centre, near the Katsina-Ala and Ukum border in Benue State, have been recovered.
Chairman of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, Dr Justin Shaku, confirmed the development to reporters in Makurdi on Monday.
According to him, the recovery brings the total number of casualties from the incident to 11, comprising 10 policemen and one member of the Benue State Community Protection Guards (BSCPG).
The attack occurred on Friday when a joint security team was ambushed by armed assailants.
Three personnel were confirmed dead at the scene, while eight others were declared missing until their remains were later discovered.
