Two Ghanaian ministers – Defence and Environment, Science and Technology – have died in a helicopter crash, the nation’s presidency has said.
Edward Omane Boamah and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed died in the helicopter crash which occurred on Wednesday, August 6.
It was gathered that the helicopter had three crew members and five passengers.
Everyone on board the aircraft was killed in the crash, the Ghanaian authorities said.
Julius Debrah, the chief of staff to Ghana’s presisent John Mahama said, “The president and government extend our condolences and sympathies to the families of our comrades and the servicemen who died in service to the country.”
