Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.
Declaring his support for the president ahead of the 2027 elections, Namadi said Tinubu’s policies and reforms are laying the foundation for Nigeria’s future.
Speaking on Monday at a stakeholders’ meeting in Dutse, the governor praised the administration’s economic direction, insisting that the ongoing reforms will reposition the country despite the current pains.
“The president has taken bold steps that many before him avoided. These policies are difficult but necessary, and they are already shaping the future of our country,” he said.
The Jigawa governor urged Nigerians to remain patient and support the federal government’s efforts, stressing that Tinubu deserves another mandate to consolidate on his reforms.
Namadi is the first governor from the north-west to publicly declare support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
