Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Kwankwaso praised the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and the resilience of its people over the decades.
“On this special day, I celebrate the labour of our heroes past, the sacrifices of our present, and maintain ardent hope for our country’s future,” he said.
Reflecting on the nation’s history, the former governor noted that Nigeria had experienced several challenges in its 65 years of existence but had remained united.
“In the past 65 years, our country has seen it all, yet it has remained unshaken as one. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria,” he added.
