The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Osun State Chapter, has elected new state and local executives to oversee the administrative affairs of the party.
The new leaders emerged on Monday during the state congress held at the party secretariat in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
Addressing delegates at the congress, the Electoral Committee Chairman, Prince (Dr) Adedayo Adeyemi, described the exercise as free and fair.
He urged the newly elected officials to uphold the oath of office they had taken and work for the progress of the party.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, the re-elected Osun NNPP Chairman, Dr. Oluwatosin Odeyemi, commended the electoral committee and party members for the confidence reposed in the new leadership.
He encouraged party leaders to act with integrity and called on members to support their leaders and mobilize for the success of the party.
Odeyemi also stated that the party would conduct its primary election for the 2026 Osun governorship election on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was represented at the congress by Ishola Olakunle and Abajesude Modupeola, who monitored the election of party officers.
The state and local executives were elected through a voice vote, with the electoral committee chaired by Prince (Dr) Adedayo Adeyemi, alongside Chief Olalekan Fabayo as Secretary and Solape Olatunbosun as a member.
Newly elected state executives include Dr. Tosin Odeyemi (Chairman), Otunba Adekunle Abolade (Deputy State Chairman), Hon. Ismail Oladeji (State Secretary), Hon. Mofolasayo Makinde (State Treasurer), Hon. Aderonke Aderemi (State Financial Secretary), and Mrs. Ajileye Bukola (State Women Leader), among others.
